Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts

Hey Classic Rock fans - have we got a treat for you!  Canadian superstar rockers Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts - yes!  the entire band with all kinds of hits from the 80's and 90's - are coming to the Come By The Hills stage.

We've been interested in landing this band for many years now, and we've finally been able to convince them to play for all of us on Saturday August 19th.  We know how much Classic Rock is adored in this region, and we are thrilled to meet this demand with one of Canada's well known and respected artists.

With six solid albums and two-dozen hit singles ('Something to Live For' (#17 in Canada in 1987); 'Crime Against Love' (#11 in Canada in 1990); 'Livin' in the '90's' (#11 in Canada in 1992); 'I'm Shattered' (#7 in Canada in 1995); and 'Gin Palace' (#14 in Canada in 1995) to name a few, this is sure to be an awesome performance for not only old-school rockers, but all music fans alike.  Bentall is a terrific performer, and his stage presence is second to none.  He will certainly have a few stories to tell.

Barney will be joined on stage by all of the original Legendary Hearts: Jack Guppy (drums), Colin Nairne (guitar), Cam Bowman (keyboardist), and bassist Barry Muir.

In 1989, this group won a Juno Award for "Most Promising Group of the Year".  In 1990, Bentall, Fraser and Nairne were nominated for a Genie Award for "Restless Dreamer", a song they wrote which appeared on the soundtrack to the Sandy Wilson film American Boyfriends.
